But I’m A Cheerleader is a satirical romantic comedy following Megan (Natasha Lyonne – Poker Face, Russian Doll, Slums of Beverly Hills), a high school cheerleader whose parents (Mink Stole of John Waters’ fame and Bud Cort of Harold and Maude) worry she’s a lesbian and send her to a “rehabilitation camp” to “make her straight.” Megan meets Graham (Clea DuVall of Veep, The Handmaid’s Tale), and the two become friends. But, as Megan gets closer to Graham and spends more time at the camp, the more she begins to question her sexuality. Best pals Connie (Nia Vardalos) and Carla (Toni Collette) have a song-and-dance act at a Chicago airport, but they go on the run after witnessing a murder. In Los Angeles, they glimpse the city’s drag queen scene, and believing that stage success is just a wardrobe change away, they become female impersonators. They fall into a circle populated by Connie’s beau, Jeff (David Duchovny), and bar owner Stanley (Ian Gomez). But the killers want to make sure the women never tell what they know. May 31st, 2024.
When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy (Judy Garland) and her dog, Toto, are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz. They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route they meet a Scarecrow (Ray Bolger) that needs a brain, a Tin Man (Jack Haley) missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr) who wants courage. In 1963, rodeo cowboy Jack Twist (Jake Gyllenhaal) and ranch hand Ennis Del Mar (Heath Ledger) are hired by rancher Joe Aguirre (Randy Quaid) as sheep herders in Wyoming. One night on Brokeback Mountain, Jack makes a drunken pass at Ennis that is eventually reciprocated. Though Ennis marries his longtime sweetheart, Alma (Michelle Williams), and Jack marries a fellow rodeo rider (Anne Hathaway), the two men keep up their tortured and sporadic affair over the course of 20 years. John (David Bowie) is the lover of the gorgeous immortal vampire Miriam (Catherine Deneuve), and he’s been led to believe that he’ll live forever, too. Unfortunately, he quickly deteriorates into a horrible living death, and Miriam seeks a new companion. She soon sets her sights on Sarah (Susan Sarandon), a lovely young scientist, who quickly falls under Miriam’s spell. After leaving behind her girlfriend to attend college in Chicago, young lesbian Max West (Guinevere Turner) is introduced to Ely (V.S. Brodie), a slightly older woman with quirky habits. While Max and Ely quickly develop an attraction to each another, a poorly timed phone call from Max’s long-distance girlfriend, Kate, brings things to an abrupt halt.
