Improv Fundamentals Workshop
About
In this 7 week series facilitated by Paul Deichmann, participants will be introduced to the fundamental building blocks of theatrical improvisation through games and exercises, and put those fundamentals together at the end by performing a short showcase.
Or to say it more plainly: Our work will encourage you, through play, to connect with your core creative self, to bring that self into the present to aid the group, to be so in harmony with your intuition as a group that you create stories without planning them, and to develop your confidence by sharing them at the end of our work together.
To say it even clearer again: we’re gonna have a lot of fun finding ways to make things up together.
Now I’ll say it again, but it’s just all the number-related details: The class will have 15 available spots. We will meet 7 times: 6 times for class and the 7th for the final showcase to follow the July Improv Jam. The price for the whole workshop series is $120. Drop-in students will be welcome (if there is available space) for 20 dollars a class.
All skill levels are welcome, beginner to advanced.
