How to Share Yourself Without Losing Yourself

Artist and mother Juliana Laury considers herself an “analog soul in a digital world.” She takes the Colonial stage to share the inspirational story of her journey to stillness, offering four concrete tips for initiating change that results in a simpler, more grounded approach to work and life.

Juliana Laury is an artist mother balancing home life in Pottstown and studio life in Phoenixville. She’s been working out of The Upstairs Studio Artists at 209 Bridge Street since 2019 and has become known in the community for her unique three-dimensional artwork using a material called encaustic. She is also an avid photographer and writer, contributing to a weekly newsletter and publishing poems in our very own PXV Art Mag, as well as hosting solo shows in local galleries such as Ravensgate and the now-retired Paragon. She considers herself an “analog soul in a digital world”, and she comes to The Colonial stage with a lecture aimed at guiding others to think more intentionally about the platforms they use and why.
