About

Representative Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) announced the details of her upcoming State of the Sixth Town Hall happening on Tuesday, January 16 at The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville. This is the fifth year Houlahan has held her signature event to share updates on her work on behalf of Chester and Berks Counties, to hear directly from constituents, and to answer questions from the audience. The Q&A portion will again be moderated by Phoenixville Mayor Peter Urscheler.

“Every year, I look forward to the State of the Sixth Town Hall with our community,” said Houlahan. “In addition to the many issue-specific town halls we hold throughout the year, the State of the Sixth is a favorite annual tradition and a great way to engage broadly with so many people across Berks and Chester Counties. It’s an evening to recap the past year and look ahead to 2024.”

Houlahan added: “While it has been difficult to effectively legislate due to the House majority’s ongoing dysfunction and infighting, I am still proud of the work we have done on a bipartisan basis to improve the lives of Pennsylvanians. I championed paid leave expansion for veterans, increased passenger rail access, helped designate our community as technology and energy hubs, fought for jobs and health care services in southeastern PA, and so much more. Our office continues to advocate directly for constituents and recently hit a historic milestone of $50 million returned to Berks and Chester County residents since I joined Congress. There remains work to be done, however, and I look forward to sharing updates on the issues I hear about most often and answering our community’s questions.”
