10 Things I Hate About You is a retelling of William Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. set in a Seattle high school. In the late nineties. Walter (Larry Miller) forbids his daughter Bianca (Larisa Oleynik) from dating until her defiant older sister Kat (Julia Stiles – Hustlers) does. To win over Bianca, popular, pretty boy Joey (Andrew Keegan) and good guy Cameron (Joseph Gordon-Levitt – (500) Days of Summer) scheme to set up Kat with Patrick (Heath Ledger – Monster’s Ball), another “outsider” who gets Kat in a way no one else does.
