SYNOPSIS

Part hard-boiled crime thriller, part full-throttle vampire bloodbath, Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn gleefully plays like two exploitation movies spliced together at the reel change. George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino star as the Gecko brothers, violent fugitives who take a former minister (Harvey Keitel) and his children hostage while fleeing across the Mexican border, only to discover that their rendezvous at a remote desert strip club has delivered them into an entirely different kind of nightmare. Working from Tarantino’s screenplay, Rodriguez abruptly trades outlaw cool for an exuberant barrage of vampires, martial arts, gore, and horror-comic grotesquerie, with Juliette Lewis, Cheech Marin, Danny Trejo, and Salma Hayek joining the mayhem. Proudly vulgar, wildly excessive, and utterly committed to its own disreputable pleasures, From Dusk Till Dawn is a midnight movie with B-movie blood coursing through every frame.
