NOIR CITY: Woman on the Run & The Lady from Shanghai
About
NOIR CITY, the most popular film noir festival in the world, makes its Philadelphia area debut at the Colonial Theatre. Join us for a 3-day extravaganza featuring 10 films from the heart of Hollywood’s noir movement: the year 1948.
Every film on the schedule is celebrating a 75th anniversary and several have never before been screened at NOIR CITY. Film Noir Foundation founder and Turner Classic Movies host Eddie Muller will be in attendance for this swanky, sexy, and sinister excursion back in time.
Eddie Muller will be signing copies of his new book “Eddie Muller’s NOIR BAR – Cocktails Inspired by the World of Film Noir” starting at 12:00 PM in the Colonial Theatre’s Garden Suite, prior to the Saturday 2:00 PM screening of “Larceny.” Eddie will also have copies of his book “Dark City: The Lost World of Film Noir” for sale. Pre-signed copies, of both books, will be available all weekend at the Colonial Theatre’s merchandise store.
