NOIR CITY: Philadelphia returns to Phoenixville’s historical Colonial Theatre November 14-16, 2025, for a three-day extravaganza. Join Film Noir Foundation founder and TCM host Eddie Muller for a festival featuring a film lineup that shines the spotlight on women whose cinematic legacy is entwined with the rise of film noir.

Many of this year’s films star the six actresses profiled in Muller’s Dark City Dames: The Wicked Women of Film Noir, reissued this year in a newly revised and expanded edition. Jane Greer, Audrey Totter, Evelyn Keyes, Ann Savage, Coleen Gray, and Marie Windsor are the core cadre of women featured in this year’s program.

SYNOPSIS

Ready for a hundred-proof dose of “Tiki Noir?” Evelyn Keyes goes undercover as a taxi-dancer in Honolulu’s notorious red-light district searching for her missing GI husband. Toss sultry and statuesque Marie Windsor into the mix and it’s noir Nirvana with a slack-key guitar soundtrack.
