Dann Pell – Songs to Ground and Uplift
The Colonial PresentsAbout
Dann Pell is a singer-songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist from Chester County, PA who makes meditative Folk music celebrating unity of spirit. Pell has studied with musical luminaries including Jimmie Dale Gilmore (Flatlanders) and vocalist Bobby Mcferrin. Dann honed his craft touring the U.S. and seeks to build community locally offering a monthly gathering at Exeter Quaker Meeting where he is a member.
The evening concert will feature Pell’s original compositions alongside traditional and sacred pieces through a lens of deep listening. Clive Webb writes for Shindig! magazine “Pell weaves elements of sacred and secular music including jazz and country blues into a sound that seems intricate but spare. More than the sum of its parts”
