The titular 11-year-old (voice of Dakota Fanning – ‘The Runaways’) grumbles about her dingy home with her family until she finds a portal to an enchanting alternative world of brightly colored world of wonders. In this animated family drama from writer/director Henry Selick (‘Wendell & Wild’), from the book by Neil Gaiman, as Coraline gets deeper into this new vibrant version of her life; she starts to see little, unnerving details indicating something dark and sinister may be afoot. She finds herself pulled between the glitz of this fake world and the ramshackle sincerity of her real home and family.
