    The War of the Ring intensifies. Gollum (Andy Serkis) plots to betray Frodo (Elijah Wood) and Sam (Sean Astin) and steal the One Ring. Elrond (Hugo Weaving) urges Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen) to claim the throne of Gondor. Theoden (Bernard Hill) leads his army against the Orcs, and Aragorn leads an Army of the Dead against Sauron (Sala Baker).
